Join us as Josh Kirkham with Scouting America shares how Scouting is creating meaningful opportunities for workforce development and helping youth explore future career paths. Josh will highlight the new Trade Skills programs added to Woodruff Scout Camp, explain how hands-on experiences build confidence and real-world readiness, and show how merit badges help young people discover their interests, develop skills, and find their passion.

A food pantry helps college students by providing access to free food and essential items, supporting students who may be facing food insecurity while balancing school, work, and personal expenses. Volunteers play an important role in keeping the pantry stocked and organized so students can easily access the resources they need.

Please meet at the Acworth Home Depot at 7:30 a.m. We need two pickup trucks to transport approximately 100 bags of mulch to the school. Home Depot will load the mulch into your truck using a forklift.

For all other volunteers:

Please meet at Pine Mountain Middle School at 8:00 a.m. Bring hoes, rakes, gloves, and if you have them a few extra lawn bags in your garage and of course, a smile!-The garden is to the left of the main (front) door and around the corner, halfway back on the side of the school.

Cynthia served as President of the Rotary Club of Stone Mountain in 2013-2014 and 2020-2021. She is a Paul Harris Fellow. Cynthia currently serves as an Assistant Governor and is a 2023-2024 Emerging Leader. She is married to Dr. Lonnie J Edwards, Sr. and they have three children and six grandchildren. Cynthia is passionate about Rotary and community service. She has been recognized by the DeKalb Rotary Council for the 2021-2023 Outstanding Leadership Award and by the Rotary Club of Stone Mountain 2010 Rookie of the Year and 2023 “Show Rotary Cares” Award (Rotarian of the Year).

We are looking for a few Rotarians to help refresh the field and surrounding grounds so everything is ready for game day.

Please bring, if available: edgers, blowers, tree trimmers, weed eaters, and trash bags.

Be sure to wear gloves, bring water, and bring your smiling self!
