President Nancy's Message

A Week of Gratitude and Inspiration

This week’s meeting was filled with heartfelt moments, powerful stories, and true examples of Rotary’s impact near and far.

Thank You, Kaho!

A big thank you to our Rotary Youth Exchange student, Kaho, for sharing her reflections on her exchange year. Your speech reminded us all of the transformative power of connection, curiosity, and courage. You’ve brought joy, perspective, and international friendship to our club. We will miss you dearly and know that wherever you go, you’ll carry the spirit of Rotary with you.

Congratulations to Hal Schlenger!

Please join us in congratulating Hal for reaching an incredible milestone—20 gallons of blood donated! Your selfless commitment to saving lives is awe-inspiring and embodies the Rotary motto, Service Above Self.

Thank You, Kathy Igou

Special thanks to Kathy Igou for your meaningful Memorial Day video and your touching talk on the importance of organ donation. Your message reminded us of the lasting legacy we can each leave behind—and the lives we can save.

As always, thank you to all our members for showing up, stepping up, and living the values of Rotary each day.

Speaker Thursday June 5
Justin Farmer: From the Newsroom to Navigating Wealth

We’re pleased to welcome Justin Farmer, former longtime TV news anchor, as our upcoming speaker at Roswell Rotary.

After decades of keeping Atlantans informed on major headlines, Justin has taken his storytelling skills and sharp insight into a new arena—wealth management. Now a partner with financial strategist Ted Jenkins at EXIT Wealth, Justin helps individuals and families plan their financial futures with clarity and confidence.

At this week’s meeting, Justin will speak on a timely and important topic:

“How Tariffs Are Impacting Your Investment Portfolio”

He’ll break down how global trade policies—particularly tariffs—are influencing today’s markets and what smart investors should be considering in response.

Join us for this informative and engaging talk that bridges the world of current events and personal finance.

Honoring Patsy Wolff

Link to Obituary

In 1984, women were first allowed into Rotary. In 1989, Emily Dolvin and Patsy Wolff were the first women to join Roswell Rotary and in 1991 became the first active women.

Patsy Wolff will be remembered for many things, but especially for all she did for the women of Roswell Rotary. From two women in 1989, we now have 58 women members. Of our 231 members, 25% are women.

And we now have many women in Leadership roles in Roswell Rotary. On the Board, in the chairs on their way to becoming to becoming Club President, and serving as committee chairs.

We have eight women who have served as Rotary Club presidents-seven in Roswell Rotary Club and one in John's Creek Club

1. Past-President Pat Di George was Roswell Rotary's first woman president.

2. Past-President Cheryl Greenway was a Sheffield Award winner, District 6900 Chair and District Governor, and very involved in the zone.

3. Past-President Jacque Digieso was district chair for awards.

4. Past-President Lisa Carlisle served as Asst. District Governor this past year and is chairing the 2026 District 6900 conferenc.e

5. Past-President Becky Stone was district chair for Interact and was awarded Sheffield.

6. Past-President Lynne Lindsey was awarded Sheffield.

7. Current President Nancy Alterman served as 2025 District Hospitality chair, and District CART. She was also awarded the 2025 Sheffield Award.

8. Past-President John's Creek Mary Trapp was awarded Sheffield.

Special Request: We request that all women members in the Club please gather after our Thursday lunch meeting this week for a group picture that we can present to the family in honor of Patsy's trailblazing for women in Rotary!
